Liam’s Nursery

We finally finished Liam’s nursery!  Below are some shots taken of the room including the tent over the crib and fun Moroccan mural.

Last summer Joe and I visited Marrakech where I feel in love with the architecture and design.   This is the inspiration for little Liam’s room.  Hope he likes it!

The room will be featured in the August issue of FD luxe (the glossy magazine of  The Dallas Morning News).  Guess it doesn’t hurt to have a publicist as a mommy and a design coordinator as a friend.  Thanks Shelby!

Just Arrived: Liam James Jackson

Leave it to daddy’s little boy to arrive on time!  We welcomed Liam James Jackson on his due date, May 19 at 7:58 p.m. weighing 7 pounds, 4 ounces.  We will be posting images soon!

Liam’s Arrival

Still playing the waiting game.  If the little guy doesn’t arrive this week we are set to induce Sunday night.  So we could be welcoming little Liam next Monday…if things go smoothly.

Early Labor???

So last night I couldn’t sleep a wink. Total discomfort!  Even kept Joe awake! An then this morning while we were at the doctors office I started feeling REALLY BAD.  Doc says it is early labor and ordered me home to rest and drink lots of fluids.  She says that it could be today or the next few days but that everything pointed to early labor and that I just needed to monitor my contractions until they were a minute long and five minutes apart for an hour.  At home now…and only one contraction every few hours.  So…back to the waiting game!

Nursery Update

Have been getting several questions on the nursery.  At this time it is still a work in progress.  I was inspired by our trip last year to Morocco.  So with a help of a designer friend *Shelby* I am working to bring this idea to life.  Little did I know that the fabric we ordered from India is custom made for each order, and due to some volcano and other crazy cultural things, we just got the fabric. So that put everything in the room on hold, bed, tent, etc. YES we are going to have a tent! It will be installed next Wednesday. But the bed will most likely not arrive until the end of the month.  No worries, because we planned on keeping him in a bassinet the first few weeks anyway. Once the room is complete I will be sure to post some images…it is going to be amazing!! Can’t wait!!

38 Week Doc Appt

Ok…so I am officially READY!  He is in place and we are moving along it is just a waiting game at this point. Have been getting a few kicks to the rib area lately (NO FUN!).  It’s obviously a little crowded in there.  Doc says it could be today or the due date…no help there!  Wish there was more of a science to this labor thing. Makes me anxious just not knowing!

Another Doc Visit Down

Another doc visit down.  I feel like we are there all the time! Started feeling contractions. Don’t be alarmed…it’s nothing until I get them every five minutes for an hour.  Mine are spaced out with no rhyme or reason.  But at least it’s a sign that we might be getting a little closer.
